Air Foosball
Materials
Balloons or a beachball
Game Play
To play, divide the group into two teams. All of the members of one team sit in rows of three to five, side by side, all facing in one direction with enough room between each row for another row to sit. The second team then sits in rows facing the opposite direction, interspersing the other team's rows. Each team should have three to four rows with a last row protecting the goal. It correctly seated, youth will resemble a life-size foosball table, and be looking into the eyes of an opponent. Rows can be very close or several feet apart, depending on the size of the room chosen. The goal can be a wall or a mere line marked along the ground.
Every player must remain seated. Play and score the game just like regular foosball. A point is scored for each time the beach ball or balloon goes over the opposing team's goal-line or hits the wall.
Variation 1
Handicaps: Play blindfolded, with left hands only, or with heads only.
Variation 2
Leave enough room between the individual players in a row to place another two teams at a right angle to the main game. Then you have teams trying to hit the ball/balloon in all four directions.
Variation 3
Add two balls/ balloons.
Try different combinations of these variations for variety! Its sure to be wild fun!

I am part of a youth ministry team for kids ages 7-18!! Some are regular church members, some attend church with their families or on their own but are not saved, some are kids who are bored and don't go to church anywhere and some are there to disrupt, or for a free meal, or?? How do we address all these needs and ages? Both I and the other leader work fulltime and have a few parents who help at times. Our church attendance is between 20 and 40, no fulltime pastor and our youth attendance is between 15-35!!

I hear what you are saying. God works in amazing ways and those youth who may not seem to be there for the right reasons, or at least we think. Who knows if that one time they come and all of a sudden things are made real for them through something. some helpful hints: 1. Call your youth group youth ministry. I believe that a youth group can be anything; however, a youth ministry speaks much more to the church and your teens. 2, create a mission statement for your group. Have the kids do this at a meeting night with some ideas you research on or you may find or maybe you need to create it. 3. have a name for your youth ministry...Ours is The CAVE which is Christ Ambassadors as liVing Example. The kids love it! It sounds fun and has a great message and right away lets visitors know who you are and that you are for real. Finally, with most of your activities-have welcome, word, work, worship, witness. these can be done in any manner. I play Christian music in the background while we are doing a crazy games and the kids now know some of the songs and will sing along..and you have your worship. These are just some ideas to create your youth as a ministry and not simply as a group who comes to hang out for fun activities. Pray for your group at the end of a session even the ones that you may not know. They find it wired; however, it does stick with them that there are people that care even though they don't know them. Isn't that what Jesus does for us? God's blessings in your ministry. Email anytime at mtcyouthmin@email.com
