\nThere are many who are deaf.<\/p>\n

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as
\nlong as possible,
\nthank you, Lord, that I can see.
\nMany are blind.<\/p>\n

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising,
\nthank you Lord, that I have the strength to rise.
\nThere are many who are bedridden.<\/p>\n

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost, toast is burned, and tempers are short, my children are so loud,
\nthank you, Lord, for my family.
\nThere are many who are lonely.<\/p>\n

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced,
\nthank you, Lord, for the food we have.
\nThere are many who are hungry.<\/p>\n

Even though the routine of my job is often monotonous,
\nthank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work.
\nThere are many who have no job.<\/p>\n

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my
\ncircumstances were not so modest,
\nthank you, Lord, for life.<\/p>\n
