As they walked down the street after the lecture, one said to the other, \u201cWell, I guess he knocked the props out from under Christianity, didn\u2019t he?\u201d The other said, \u201cNo, I don\u2019t think he did. Ingersoll did not explain my mother\u2019s life, and until he can explain my mother\u2019s life I will stand by my mother\u2019s God.\u201d<\/p>\n
