My friend I stand in judgement now

Though we lived together here on earth,

\nBecause you failed to mention Him.<\/p>\n
You taught me many things that’s true.
\nI called you “friend” and trusted you.
\nBut I learn, now that it is too late,
\nAnd you could have kept me from this fate.<\/p>\n
We walked by day and talked by night
\nAnd yet you showed me not the light.
\nYou let me live and love and die;
\nYou knew I’d never live on high.<\/p>\n
Yes, I called you friend in life
\nAnd trusted you through fun and strife;
\nAnd yet on coming to this dreadful end
\nI cannot, now, call you “my friend.”<\/p>\n
