“Some dress their loneliness in bright, carefree hues,

stand outside with wounded eyes, looking in.

When planning ice breakers, think about the “ice” that needs to be broken.

  1. If you are bringing together liked-minded people, the “ice” may simply reflect the fact that people have not yet met.
  2. If you are bringing together people of different grades and levels in your organization for an open discussion, the “ice” may come from the difference in status
